Hotel Shoot Numero Dos

After doing our first hotel shoot, we realized one of the most important things about the hotel was the bathroom (specifically the shower / bathtub). So when looking for one this time around that was one of the first things we checked out was the bathroom. When we got to the Radisson in Covington I had a feeling the room was going to be tacky and outdated. Well, it sort of was, but the bathtub that was surrounded with white columns and on a raised floor was the huge selling point. It even had the ceiling above painted with clouds and lit up. We also liked the fact that there were 2 rooms (bedroom and living room). So people were able to wait in the living room if they were there with friends or early. At Bridalrama, we were across from Jerry's Cheesecakes. I never liked cheesecake until I had theirs. I was craving it when I knew my aunt would be having it at her wedding and got to try it when I was 8 months pregnant...addicted ever since then. Anyways, they were kind enough to give us free samples to share at the hotel shoot. So we served that along with some drinks in the living room.
My only complaint about the room was the pictures that were very outdated that they had bolted on the walls. I tried removing one so it wasn't in my background but that wasn't happening. We were spoiled with the very updated contemporary decor that we had with The Cincinnatian from the first shoot.

Forever Boudoir Photography Valentine's Hotel Shoot

I have seen some of my favorite photographer's across the country doing these types of shoots so I threw the idea out to Terrance (my partner/networker/graphic designer/assistant...whatever you want to call him) probably early this year and we began planning this event having no idea how it would turn out. We looked at a lot of different hotels and were hooked on the Cincinnatian Hotel after seeing its decor and bathroom. The room was quite expensive especially for being Valentine's Day weekend so we were hoping to at least break even and have photos as samples for the next hotel shoot. Not only did we cover the cost of the hotel but made a lot in sales from these gorgeous photos we captured right in the middle of our lovely city. I'm posting more here than on my FB business page because someone is offended by my beautiful work. :(
We started off the first hotel shoot by testing out lighting and shots we wanted to try.
The bathroom was amazing and the shower was too beautiful NOT to do some photos in there. Unfortunately, we forgot to stop and buy some Mr. Bubbles so we didn't get any photos in the incredible jacuzzi tub. Notice the "I Love You" in the shower glass. : )

On Location Photo Shoot for Pure Romance Party

For this photo shoot I had to leave Terrance at the studio and grab a girl to accompany me to this traditional Girl's Only type party. The Pure Romance consultant invited me to come do photos for girls at the party to throw in a little extra fun (as if that is ever necessary at a Pure Romance party). I loved the idea because Pure Romance and Boudoir Photography go together so perfectly.
These photos were all shot in one bedroom...the bedroom was simple and eloquent...really all that is necessary for a great photo shoot. My friend Lynn was great with catching all the little details, brushing hair, fixing necklaces and such allowing me to concentrate on the photography.
